Ok guys pencil this into your diaries it is the 5th Rushden Rumble and we are now getting this down to an almost fine art of mirth and mayhem. For those that are not acquainted with the Rushden Rumble its is a Warhammer Fantasy Battle doubles tournament with a twist. Basically you come with your playing partner and double up with them for the first game. Later you are randomly paired up with others in the Hall for the next two games. Last year saw an excellent tourney and probably one of the best ones we have had so this year will be on a same par and theme - so get your Giants ready!
The Date will be Saturday the 7th March 2015 at the Rushden Scouts Hall - same place as last year.
There are 24 team places (48 people) and it will be £14 per team (£15 via Paypal)
More information to come so keep your eyes peeled on this space.

Nice one Tony. At the moment I'm finishing off the rules and scenario packs. Just to be clear to everyone that the End of Times rules will not be used here. Its just doesn't sit right with this particular doubles format at this time.
However Scenario pack will be out sooner than I thought and some of the scenarios will take a bit of reading and practising. Lots of initial interest over at TWF. I will start asking for yer cash probably at the beginning of November when the packs go live. These will be available via dropbox on the Facebook site and here. I have kept a first asked first served list - however sensibly it will be first paid first served. Get your Giants ready!

Hello. My friend and I are hoping to make the 2015 Rumble. I was just wondering whether the no-longer-End-Times-Only 50% Lord and Hero choices will now be used, following the errata updates this week?

This is something I have been thinking about and reflecting on. It seems that the 50% allocation really doesn't do much for a army of 1000pts. The most you will be able to have will be 500pts lord or a 500pts hero judging by the errata. However I don't want to go down the route where the table just becomes a gladiator field with just two or three models aside. It sort of takes the fun out of the double game. I will think again as I was close to finishing the pack. With the new errata it has now got me to think that I may have to change the pack. I certainly want to see core, special and rare units on the board and not just 2 or three uber characters milling around. I don't know if people really want to travel the distances they do for that. So I will have to redesign the pack in view of this. By default there should be at least 25% of a core unit. However if they are using Lore of Undeath then more units can be summoned. Let me think on it.
