Looks like stocks of the starters are filtering through now. Reports of new stocks arriving at Wargames Workshop.

Just in case anyone is interested and has missed it, there is an organised play event for marvel dice masters next Tuesday (7th October) at the Roadmender Club in Northampton. It's a constructed event with OP month 1 prizes up for grabs. For more details check out Guardians of Tyr page or message me.

Oh well it'd have been nice to give that a go. But since they're running it on a club night that's not going to happen.

Yes, it was decided that Tuesday at the Northampton Roadmender Games Club would be the venue as it was too busy to get it fitted in at Wargames Workshop in Northampton

Must say at the moment I'm personally liking WW and the hub it provides as a gaming store/venue. Its great to see a diversity of games in the shop and I think the mix of events suits many tastes and interests. The board game stock and selection is good and its nice to see a regular turnaround of these products with new stock and releases coming through often. Although I have nothing against MTG (Pokemon or any other CCG) and certainly in the past have been involved in FNM and still play casually from time to time, and appreciate it provides a consistent and regular revenue stream for a store, its nice to see a slight shift (in my humble and limited opinion) from a MTG heavy store to a more diverse range of gaming. I hope this continues to be a profitable way to continue and look forward to taking part in boardgame days/events and generally talking games stuff and sharing the love.

Awww, thanks Graham. I have tried very hard to get a bit more of a variety into the place since I took over 6 months ago. It's really nice to know it's having a positive effect. Actually the board games are taking off big time so if any of you guys fancy a bit of extra-curricular activity on that front and don't want it to clash with Phoenix, we have a regular board games day on the last Saturday of the month (more coming soon at this rate) and impromptu sessions springing up most Sundays. Free parking next door too. It'd be nice to see some of you lot as I don't get to the club much at the moment.
