Darrell here i will try to answer all your questions reguarding our upcoming Eternal War 40k event please post your questions on the forum or e-mail me at darrell.lee1@hotmail.co.uk
So here we go with the first questions from some of the guys at the Kettering gaming club.
1. Fortifications i have decided as this is our first 40k event to limit the amount of fortifications that can be used by a player in their list to the aegis defence line this time ALL players and all armies may take one as it is in the main rulebook regardless of your choice.
2. The use of supplements I have decided NOT to allow the use of supplements in the event as some of them COULD give certain armies an advantage over others that have not had new codexes.
3.the inquisition in the grey knights codex are allowed as well as any other inquisition forces that are in other current codexe's such as the new imperial guard codex (which i have not seen yet).

ETERNAL WAR WILL BE USING 6TH EDITION RULES AS THE RULEPACK HAS BEEN WRITTEN AND WOULD MEAN IT MAY HAVE TO BE COMPLEATLY RE-WRITTEN FOR THE EVENT AND MAY CAUSE SIGNIFICANT CHANGES WHICH IS SOMETHING I WISH TO AVOID I HOPE YOU ALL UNDERSTAND DARRELL LEE

This weekend apparently. It seemed like a snap release of the info after some rumors a couple weeks ago.

... ok but the tournament is 4 months away, I can't see why this can't be done. People write tournament packs in less than a week. Although I do understand that you would have to get the rules sorted first and for them to be play tested etc... It does seem with the psyker phase that GW are almost mirroring the magic phase in WFB - am I wrong?

Hi warren it does seem to be mirroring WFB I am very wary of changing the system becouse I will not be getting the new rules till next month and i would like to be quite familiar with the nitty gritty of the new rules before i go about re writing the rules pack and re working the scenarios some people might be able to write a tournament pack in a week I am not one of those people so I am airing on the side of caution Darrell

I'm all for sticking with 6th Ed. By all accounts the new edition isn't much different and I'm not willing to cough up £50 for it. I suggested this to NCC and I will to you as well: Make the decision as a club to stick with 6th Ed and save your 40k players a lot of money. That much for a minor revision is nothing less than daylight robbery.
