Having won the Flames of War Starter set in the raffle I might as well have a look at the game.
To that end - does anybody have a copy of "Grey Wolf" that I can borrow fo a week or two to have a quick look at?
If you do, could you bring it down to the club tomorrow?
Cheers
Simon

Try ths link. Has all the lists uploaded and an interactive points calculator. fowlists.blogspot.co.uk/?m=1Starter set is great. I am adding two tigers a mortar blister and a machine gun blister to my Germans for a nice rounded 1500 point force using the grenadier list from grey wolf.

Standard seems to be 1500-1750. Large 2000+. Small 1000. I guess a raid could be done at 500-750. Certainly blocks of 500-750 seems to be the way it goes much like GW army lists.

Simon,
I have a copy of Grey Wolf I can lend you. I will be down playing Martyn next week (22nd) will bring it down then.
As to points - Late War (1944 onwards) tends to be 1750 points as the norm as all the late war kit its that much more expensive!
Let me know if you fancy a game to run through the rules etc. I have tons of German stuff you can borrow until you have got your stuff together.
NB the plastic figures in the starter set are supposed to be really nice although I havent seen them yet - nice prize to win! :-)
Cheers

to be honest I wanted the Ancient German Cavalry - but that had gone.
Still it's an ill wind and all that - now I can look into the possibility of fielding a Finnish army and fighting the Continuation War (maybe even the Winter War).
I have the downloads for "Lapa Sota" so the German's needn't think they're safe either!

Roddy they are great. I have midwar 8th army heavy armoured company and am building up a late war German force based on the starter set. I can also proxy a late wAr Canadian armoured recce company if you want a game sometime (i hope to get back to the club regularly fom feb) Like Paul and Simon am still learning though.

Hi James
Yes I would be up for a game. When are you free? I am playing Martyn next week but havent booked anything else in yet for this year.
I can play all sorts of Germans - Late War & Mid War. Italians - Early War & Mid War. British Paras Mid War & Late War. British Armoured Late War.
I am building a rather nasty British Early War force based around 5 Matildas (and not much else!) and a Mid War British Armoured force based around Sherman IIIs.
Let me know when and what period you want to play and Im in!
Cheers

Hi Simon
Finns are rock hard - you won't go too far wrong with them! I should be down the club next week - see you then for a chat.
Cheers
