Not sure where to post this, but this seems like the best place. Just done a quick tot up of the celts that we recieved this week and it comes to approx £350 Plus, obviously, the Romans. A very generous gift if ever there was one! On a different part of the same subject, ie getting it painted, how do you feel about the club buying some of the Quick Shade Dip. As an aid to getting the stuff done quicker, I think it might be worth it. However, I freely admit that there is also an alterior motive to this! Namely that using the Shade Dip will mean I (& anyone else painting club minis) won't have to use as much of my (or their) own paints. Also, with GW having put their paint prices up again and with finances being pretty tight at the mo for everyone, is there any chance that the club would be willing to re-imburce those who are doing the painting of the clubs minis. Please don't get me wrong here, I'm not saying that If the answers "no" I'm not going to do the painting nor am I suggesting a kind of "wage" for the painters, but I do feel that as the club got the models for nothing, even just £10 for a few pots of paint, for each of us doing the painting, would help. I am deliberately putting this on the "open to all" club site to be as transparent as possible as I don't want to be accused of trying to get some kind of special treatment or being underhand about this in any way. Thanks, Jon

personally, i think thats a given Jon re replacing paints. i have actually asked Steve to order me some from Wayland specifically to paint the romans so i'm sure there won't be a problem if you ask him for some pots to do the celts mate. i have gone for 2 regal blues, 1 dwarf flesh and a chainmail. i will bring you a tin of undercoat weds.
perhaps best to email him with a list of colours you need
as you say the least the club can do is supply / replace paint as we have so many free models.

Ok, that's great.
Sorry, I wasn't sure what the club policy on this kind of thing is and I thought it best to bring it up sooner rather than later, as I didn't know how much of an issue/can-of-worms it was going to be.
How do you feel about the Quick Dip stuff?

Is this extended to the Spartans? I won't be looking at dipping as I prefer to paint these the OFW.

Given this is for a club event, I can't see a problem with the club buying replacement paints for those of us who have generously volunteered their time and efforts to paint the forces being used.
Let me know what people think they'll want and we can add it to the Wayland Games order, in order to save a bit on the costs.

For the Spartans I will need a merchite red, brazen brass, bronze, skull white, tanned flesh, blood red and a can of black undercoat. Is that ok to put that towards the order at Waylands Steve? The other colours I should be ok with although some of the brushes are looking a bit knackered.
