Mark Borland from Milton Keynes club has advertised by email anybody interested in a WFB mini- tournament at the Wargames Workshop in Northampton on the 26th June (sunday). Julie and I have put our names down. Another others?

An interesting new name - how's the dog?

I had to 'rebrand'. There's a guy on the tournament scene called Ben Diesel that his clubmates are trying make into some sort of Internet celebrity. I got so sick of being confused with that charisma vacuum I changed names.
Dog's OK. Limping and keeps trying to savage the lampshade they put on her, but terriers will do that.
I traded the Empire for Tomb Kings. They went to a bloke who owns a web store and he did me a deal.

I see... you now have an inverted HMV dog!
Julie my wife plays TK - she's waiting for her big gribbly warsphinx. Now she will dust them off and start playing with them again. What about your warmachine hordes stuff? Did you get to keep them for the team challenge or did they go in the end?

The Warmachine stuff had to go I'm afraid. Just too many bills unfortunately. Had an interview today in Nottingham of all places and had to scavenge the fuel money for that too! I'll see if I can borrow from somewhere but it's unlikely - don't actually know many Warmachine players in this area.
What's the plan with the Vendetta thing? Are we paying Mark directly? I've still got all his details floating around from the last MK tournament so shouldn't be an issue. Also, what's the army sizes?

Its basically 3 games of 2000pts each - £5 payable to Mark's Paypal same as the MK massacre one. Incidentally how much is a warsphinx pointswise - still waiting delivery of the TK book? Not too sure of the comp but he said minor comp - guess we'll just have to wait for the minirulespack.

Warsphinx is a Special choice at 210. You can pay 10 points more for poison or 20 to give it a S4 flaming breath weapon.

Those that are going to Vendetta your rosters must be sent to Mark Borland by midnight Friday to gain the extra roster 8pts. Mine and Julie's will be in on Wednesday.

Mine'll probably go by then too. Was hoping for a practice game tomorrow but everyone's busy!

I have school work tomorrow but Julie and I may plan to test out each other's army after 10 pm depending if I'm finished by then. We will set ourselves until midnight and then that will be it.

Ben where were you? Mark filled in for you to make the numbers up but what happened?
I had a great day there and thanks to Mr Borland for setting it up. Pity it was blistering outside and we were cooped up inside. Great bunch of people there and Julie and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
So how did my Vampire Counts fare for only its second, third and fourth game in this edition?
Well first game vs Tony Hale with his Empire I won 18-2 Then I got royally smashed by a daemon army 16-4 - I think. I believe it was Shaun Mitchell I was playing. Although I lost this one it was probably the best match as lots of little incidents made it worthwhile - oh and I hate flamers and the massive horror bus with all the flickering flames etc... My opponent apologised prothusely about the string of 5s and 6s for ward saves. Ah well great game anyway!
The last game was against Tomb Kings against Ed Herzig from Oxford who I played against in the doubles at Oxford. A thorough gentleman! I won that 13-7 but it was quite a cagey affair with a lot of points denial in the last round.
Over all I finished fourth but was denied third place by one measly point. That will serve me right for losing the necromancer cheaply in the first game and losing out on a 20-0.
Julie got two near losses and a draw but didn't finish last for a change - she got third from bottom and was quite pleased.
There is a Milton Keynes Massacre on the 3rd Sept in Yardley Gobion but I doubt my VC will be there due to the no lords ruling. It is very difficult (but possibly a challenge) to win without a Lord. This could me an excuse to finish painting up my wood elves.
