Here is the exert Q: If I kill a character but not their mount, do I score victory points for just the character, the character and their mount, or must I kill the mount too in order to score any victory points? (p143) A: You must kill the character and his mount to score any victory points. So does this mean that if a vamp lord on a dragon was killed at 485 odd points yet the dragon lived throughout the battle - then the opponent's wouldn't get the points for the vamp? To me that sounds harsh - very harsh.

... but great if your a vamp player! However I would prefer my vamp lord to be alive because as soon as he is dead the Zombie dragon will follow through crumble tests.

you have to kill both lord etc and mount to get the full points, worse case is skaven seer on furnace/bell as found out in a tournament.Killed the seer and all the unit pushing it with my warriors but the bell still remained giving full pts.skink on a steg, vamp on zom dragon, elf on dragon all the same !!

Yeah but killing those guys doesn't kill the rest of your army as does a vamp lord when he croaks. Every furnace and bell that I have faced I have taken it out - this is probably why I always lose to Skaven, to much focus on those things and ignoring the rest of their troops.

true that is a problem with vamps, but having more than one vamp helps a little with the crown. The problem with skaven and the likes if you ignore the bell etc it normally bites you on the ass later in the game lol

Yet in the Bretonnia FAQ, it specifically states that King Louen and his mount Beaquis score separate points. Seems to be an exception to the normal rule (until the new Bretonnia book comes out).

If the book says yes then I suppose so- however these things tend to be in the lap of the TOs for tournaments, especially if they are playing in house rules.
