Has this league finished? When do you start the next one?

Hi Nobby
Yes it is pretty much over in terms of winners and losers - Andys Panthers have won the day and Kierons commandos are manfully holding up the rest of the league! I think there are one or two matches left to be played.
We really do need to think of what next in terms of competitive Flames of War - Alex and I had tentative thoughts of a D Day or Ardennes Offensive Firestorm campaign using either Axis & Allies maps or some of the maps that are on the Battlefront website.
Anyone else got any thoughts on what next for Flames of War?
Cheers
Roddy

Andy was toying with the idea of playing me again as we finished after 6 turns (in warhammer thought mode that night) which i am ok with if he wants to do this. this could (i think) change the league standings, possibly???
i only have Steve to play if not, as i managed a win against Dave this week.

Steve; i think you need to update the table as i seem to be missing my last two victories as have now played 5 games not 3

Thanks for reminding me, I must have forgotten to add the results of your game against Keiron into the table. It's now all up to date.
Incidentally how is the 20th of October for my game against you?

date should be ok.
dave mentioned andy had said he may replay our game as we stopped after 6 turns instead of carrying on and if so i may still be able to win the league if i manage to beat him.
not sure, but steve may also be able to win as well if he beat me

As long as participants don't sign up for all leagues and campaigns - this causes lags when people are not available as they are doing something else and this drags these competitions out. Remember we still have a few SFS games to complete and a few ECW matches to play. Is that rolling to a conclusion yet Carl? We also have to be mindful of other tournaments and campaigns shortly arriving - so far we have two - Dark Ages WAB campaign (which I yet have to see a rulespack for - but let's get Axes and Axis outta the way 1st) and a 40K league (approved). The SFS will probably start again in January / February 2012.
If somebody wishes to put in a FoW league by all means do so however you wil have to try and limit the numbers of people to 6. That would mean at least five games each to complete it. Anybody wish to take on the rulespack and have it submitted to me for a quick perusal - be my guest. Also mark down when you think this would run from.

The WAB thing is a work in progress - I'll have too many ideas at the moment and need to spend time on the prep work for A&A - also the possible publication of the new army lists means I,m not in too much of a rush yet

I'd sign up to play - one week in three is what I've asked for in the 40K league so can do one of the other two on Flames, which I'm really enjoying.
Can't help with the pack but I don't mind being 'admin boy' with the laptop and a fixture list.
