Guys; Dave Wilkin from Bedford galdiators has asked if the club would like to run a game at their 35th anniversary celebration weekend over the 13th and 14th June?
we could run whatever game we want (i think) and is a nice chance to help them celebrate the fact they have been going 35 years.
any takers, and any suggestions on what game we could run?

What about Warrens Gobbo game from Gamesday that was a lot of fun or run one of the Kelmarsh games for a bit of variety?

Sorry guys I have to get back to you on this as I may have a family commitment up in Nuneaton to go to. Will check back when I know exactly which date my brother is having his 40th do as he was undecided.

As a general point there is not a massive amount of space available at the Gladiators venue, and I know one or two other clubs are also likely to attend. So it's probably best if whatever we decide to do doesn't require more than a 6 x 4 table.
Something non historical might also be a good choice, purely as it's likely that a number of the other games will be of that style, and it'd be nice to have something that contrasts with whatever else is happening.

Just to let people know, myself and one of the Bedford guys (John) are looking to play an Appocalypse game on the Saturday (13th of June) at the Gladiators 35th Birthday event. We're looking at around 6,000 points, and either two or three players a side.
If anyone from Phoenix would be interested in taking part can they let me know. If you live in Rushden as an added bonus I'll be happy to come and pick you up.

Stephen, can I assume that since it's at Bedford that models would need to be painted to be used? I'd like to participate in the Apocalypse game, but using painted models or not would affect which armies I could use.

I would guess so, although the odd one or two unpainted ones ought not to be an issue.

I will be there, and will have a Chaos and Eldar force available for play. Steve, I will drive myself there so no need to worry about me.

John is intending to take Marines with a bit of Guard Support.
I was planning on Orks, purely so I can use both my Super Heavies at once.

Update.
We're probably going to keep it down to 4 players, so the games now pretty much filled.
Probably looking at 6,000. So 3,000 per player.
Liam, Daiv you're going to need to decide whether you want to ally with John's Imperials or my Orks.

Well, seeing as I ought to use painted models, I guess I'll be bringing along a combined Imperial Guard and Daemonhunters force (since that's about the only way I can field 3000 points of painted models that I can think of) and joining up with this John fellow.
